Essential equipment for brewing beer?
The brewing equipment of home brewing is different from that of a large brewery equipment. The home brewing equipment consists of a mash tun with multiple fermentation tanks, Brewery equipment is a need to use a variety of devices to complete the entire brewing process. The full set of equipment mainly includes a malt milling system, a mash system, a fermentation system, a cooling system, CIP system and control system, as well as many Auxiliary equipment.
Malt milling system
In breweries, roller mills are often used to mill malt. According to the number of rollers, it can be divided into a variety of models to the miller, double, four, five , and other six rolls. According to the milling method, it can be divided into dry milling and wet milling. Dry milling system includes: bucket elevator, malt bin, pulse dust collector. Wet milling system is mainly composed of continuous dipping system, slurry mixing and conveying system, control system, etc.
Mash system
Industrial brewery mashing system includes gelatinization tun, mash tun, lauter tank, kettle tank and whirlpool tank.
Small and medium-sized craft brewery includes mash tun, lauter tank, kettle tank and whirlpool tank.
Bar craft brewing equipment is generally based on two vessels: mash/lauter tank, kettle/whirlpool tank
Fermentation system
At present, there are horizontal fermentation tanks, vertical fermentation tanks, and superimposed fermentation tanks on the market.
Cooling System:
Function: cooling of wort, cooling and control of fermentation temperature
At present, the common cooling methods in the market are (one-stage cooling and two-stage cooling)
CIP systems: for cleaning the tank and pipe.
The control system is divided into instrument control system and PLC control system.
Instrument control system: simple operation, low cost, and simple temperature setting.
PLC control system: simple operation, can be programmed.
Temperature profile can be recorded, automated control, temperature control segment mash system, high degree of automation.
